Between May and October there is hardly any rain. Cloudbanks, edged on by the north wind, are stopped by the mountain chains protecting Mirtos. This part of the south coast is always sunny. Even when stormy north winds blow from the valley around Lerapetra towards the Chrissi-Island, Mirtos has west- or south wind. |
